Kimmo Kanto is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Funding Service ICT & Digitalisation and Head of Space at Business Finland since January 2018. Prior to this role, Kimmo held various director positions at Tekes from September 2005 to January 2018, including Director of Environmental Data and Space Applications and Senior Technology Advisor. Kimmo’s earlier career includes serving as a Project Manager and Remote Sensing Specialist at Blom Kartta Oy from 2000 to August 2005, as well as a Researcher at the Finnish Marine Research Institute for a brief period in late 2000. Kimmo Kanto earned a Master's degree in Geophysics from the University of Oulu between 1994 and 2003.
