Michael Kuffer serves as a Partner and Head of the Practice Group for Public Safety at BUSE, a position held since January 2016. Kuffer is a qualified attorney specializing in procurement law and also teaches emergency services law at Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg since March 2008. Additionally, Kuffer has held the position of Member of the German Bundestag (MdB a. D.) since October 2021 and served as a City Councilor (Stadtrat a. D.) in Munich since March 2018. Previously, Kuffer worked at KPMG from January 2011 to December 2015 as an attorney and authorized signatory, leading the Public Safety/BOS department. Kuffer's legal career began at GvW Graf von Westphalen from August 2004 to December 2010 and included a role at EISENREICH KUFFER Rechtsanwälte from January 2003 to July 2004.
