Chris Tynan has an extensive and varied work experience history. Their most recent role is as the Founder and CEO of Burnham RNG. Prior to this, they worked at Enviva, where they led a company-wide initiative to expand production capacity by expanding existing operating facilities. Chris was also the Director of Corporate Development at Enviva, where they were responsible for all aspects of acquisitions and greenfield development activities. Chris worked at Summit Power Group, Inc. as the Vice President of Project Finance, where they managed fundraising activities for the company. Chris was the Manager of Investments & Fundraising at Verdeo Group and awarded the "Trona Rock Award" for exemplifying the company's values. Chris started their career in the energy industry as an Associate at Global Risk and Commodities in AES. Chris also worked as a private equity Summer Associate at Hudson Clean Energy and Energy Investors Fund. Chris founded TSK Group, LLC, where they sold and executed consulting contracts with five clients and was the Director of Venture Capital at Illinois Coalition for Science and Technology.
Chris Tynan obtained a BSc in Economics and Philosophy from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2001. Chris then attended The Wharton School from 2006 to 2008, where they earned an MBA degree in Finance. Additionally, they obtained two certifications, the 16th Annual Commandant's National Security Program from The United States Army War College in July 2022, and Resilient Leadership for High-Performing Organizations from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in August 2021.
