Vernon Spencer has extensive experience in leadership and governance across various organizations. Since January 1972, Vernon has served as Executive Chairman of Stargate Corporation Group. Vernon has been a member of the Board and Co-Chairman of the Market Standards and Practices Committee at the Australian Securitisation Forum since September 1999, receiving the ASF Distinguished Service Fellowship Award. A co-founder and Fellow of the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia, Vernon holds the status of Life Member since January 1983. Vernon is also a Board of Trustees Member at The Sir Zelman Cowen Cancer Foundation and an Advisory Committee Member at the Macfarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health since July 2006 and September 2008, respectively. Additionally, Vernon has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia since July 1987 and served on the Board of Directors for the China Securitization Forum for a brief period in February 2016. Vernon was a Board of Trustees Member for The Portsea Surf Life Saving Foundation from January 1984 until 2016. Education background includes attending Brighton Grammar School from 1951 to 1958.
