Laura Rikard-Bell is a Research Assistant and Honours Student at the Burnet Institute, focusing on enhancing apoptosis of HIV-infected macrophages to facilitate an HIV cure under Dr. Anna Hearps. Previous experience includes serving as an Academic Tutor at TutorCo., providing tailored academic guidance to students using online technologies, and a Student Vacation Scholarship at WEHI, where Laura engaged in research on tuberculosis bacteria and immune cell interactions. Additionally, Laura has worked in various hospitality roles from 2017 to 2021. Education includes a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology and Immunology and a Bachelor of Science in Immunology from the University of Melbourne, along with an International Baccalaureate from St Leonard's College.
