Darren Springer is the General Manager at Burlington Electric Department, where they focus on advancing Burlington's Net Zero Energy 2030 goal. They previously served as a Policy Fellow at the Center For Research on Vermont and held leadership roles, including Chief of Staff to the Governor of Vermont and Deputy Commissioner at the Vermont Department of Public Service. Additionally, Darren has been an active board member for several organizations, including Vermont Electric Power Company and the Energy Action Network, and has authored critical legislative reports in clean energy and climate policy. They earned both a Master’s degree and a Doctor of Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School, graduating magna cum laude and cum laude, respectively.
