Alan Mitcheson is a seasoned professional in mechanical engineering, serving as Principal Member at Burgoynes since April 1977, after becoming a Partner in 1983. Alan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering, earned through research on gaseous explosions at the University of Leeds, where a British Gas Research Scholarship facilitated further study. Prior to joining Burgoynes, Alan gained foundational experience as a Trainee at Rolls-Royce from 1969 to 1974. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds, complemented by a secondary education at Heaton Grammar School in Newcastle upon Tyne.
