David Jenkins currently serves as Division Chief at the Bureau of Land Management within the U.S. Department of the Interior since August 2020, previously holding the position of Assistant Director for Resources and Planning. From 2015 to August 2020, David worked at the U.S. Forest Service as Acting Assistant Director for Research at the Pacific Southwest Research Station and Regional Director. Prior experience includes serving as an Anthropologist at the US Fish and Wildlife Service's Office of Subsistence Management from 2010 to 2015. David holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Brandeis University, a Master's degree in Anthropology and another in American History from the University of Michigan and the University of Utah, respectively, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Utah.
