Arleen Garcia-Herbst is a seasoned professional in cultural and environmental resource management, currently serving as the BLM National NAGPRA Coordinator at the Bureau of Land Management since June 2022. With an extensive background that includes roles as an Archaeologist and Cultural Resource Manager for various branches of the U.S. military, Ms. Garcia-Herbst has significant expertise in historic preservation, compliance with environmental regulations, and interdisciplinary project management. Additionally, Ms. Garcia-Herbst is the owner and project manager of Spindrift Consulting, an environmental conservation enterprise. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Anthropology from the University of California.
