Marcelo Yoon

Chief, Regional Income & Value-added Division at Bureau of Economic Analysis

Marcelo Yoon is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in economic analysis and regional income policies. Presently serving as the Chief of the Regional Income & Value Added Division and previously as Chief of the Regional Compensation Branch at the Bureau of Economic Analysis since September 2016, Marcelo has contributed significantly to the agency's mission. Prior roles include serving as an Economist in the Office of Macroeconomic Analysis at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from October 2014 to September 2016 and as Unit Head for the Economic Analysis & Forecasting Unit at the New York City Mayor's Office of Management and Budget from August 2008 to October 2014. Marcelo's academic credentials include a Senior Executive Fellow from Harvard Kennedy School, a Master’s in Economics from Stony Brook University, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Queens College.
