Adrian Baskir is an accomplished actuary with extensive experience in the insurance and actuarial sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Commercial Actuary at Bupa Insurance Ltd since January 2014, Adrian has held various leadership roles within the organization, including Chief Actuary for International Markets and for the UK. In addition, Adrian chairs the Health Section Board of the International Actuarial Association and previously held the position of Vice Chair within the same organization. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Commerce at Bupa Health Funding, Council Member at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and President of the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Adrian’s career also encompasses senior positions in health actuarial services at Old Mutual and a freelance role as a cricket statistician for SABC. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Cape Town.
