Eva-Maria Schulze serves as the Leitende Regierungsdirektorin at the Bundeskartellamt, focusing on merger control, abuse supervision, cartel proceedings, and sector inquiries within the food retail, agriculture, and food industries. Previously, Eva-Maria Schulze held the position of Direktorin at the Bundeskartellamt, overseeing the department responsible for mechanical engineering, metal industry, iron and steel, measuring and control technology, and patents and licenses in the paper sector. Additional experience includes participation in a course at Fordham Law School in 2010 and practicing as a Rechtsanwältin and Strafverteidigerin at Rechtsanwälte Hüser & Partner from January 1991 to October 1996. Eva-Maria Schulze obtained the 1. Staatsexamen in law from the Freie Universität Berlin from 1982 to 1987 and pursued further education at Fordham University.
