Barry Crist is a highly experienced technology executive currently serving as Board Chair, Advisor, and Coach at Buildkite since June 2021, contributing to its reputation as a leading build/test platform. In addition, Barry holds the position of Board Member at Magnify, an innovative ML-driven post-sales orchestration platform, and provides advisory services to Rossum, an AI-driven B2B document and communication platform. Previously, Barry was the CEO and Chairman of Chef Software, specializing in hyper-scale IT automation from August 2013 to October 2020. Earlier experience includes roles as Executive-in-residence at Ignition Partners and CEO of Likewise, as well as significant positions at Mercury Interactive and McAfee/Network Associates. Barry's career began at Apple Computer, where various roles spanned from intern to business development. Barry earned a Bachelor's degree in European History with minors in Economics and Philosophy from UC San Diego.
