Curriculum Design & Instructor Coordinator at Building Skills Partnership

Jael Vizcarra, Ph.D., is an accomplished educator and researcher with extensive experience in curriculum design and instruction, currently serving as Curriculum Design and Instructor Coordinator and Adult Education Instructor at Building Skills Partnership since June 2019. Formerly a College Lecturer at Cuyamaca College and Bilingual/Bicultural Interpreter for Cajon Valley Union School District, Jael's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego, where a significant focus was placed on interdisciplinary research, particularly in Asian American Studies, Latin American Studies, and Critical Race Theory. With research experience as a PhD Candidate and teaching roles within UC San Diego's Ethnic Studies and Culture, Art and Technology departments, Jael has developed expertise in social science research methods and college-level writing. Additionally, educational credentials include two Master's degrees in Social Sciences from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with a minor in International Relations from the University of California, Riverside.
