Shady Ahmad has a strong background in licensing, business development, and marketing. Shady began their career at Budge Studios in 2015, where they quickly advanced to the role of Vice President of Licensing & Business Development. In this role, they oversaw the development and publishing of kids' apps, including popular brands like Barbie, Paw Patrol, and My Little Pony. Prior to this position, they held various roles at Budge Studios, including Director of Licensing & Business Development, Senior Business Development Manager, and Business Development Manager.
In 2016, Shady took on a committee member role at the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal's Les Printemps du MAC. As part of this philanthropic group, they helped organize an annual fundraiser to support the enrichment of the museum's collection, exhibition production, and educational programs.
Before joining Budge Studios, Shady had experience in commercial banking as a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager at HSBC. In this role, they managed portfolios for 40 businesses with annual revenue ranging from $10 million to $50 million. Their responsibilities included client meetings, credit analysis, risk management, and coordination with various departments.

Shady Ahmad attended the American International School of Mozambique from 2007 to 2009, where they completed their high school education through the International Baccalaureate Program. During this time, they focused on subjects such as Higher Level Portuguese, Higher Level English, Economics, and Mathematics. Following high school, Shady enrolled at McGill University from 2010 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a specialization in Finance.
