Mark Hertel is currently a Trustee at The Buckeye Ranch. Mark previously served as a Colonel in the Army National Guard from May 2004 to May 2008. Prior to that, they worked for McDonald's Corporation.

Mark Hertel has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Marquette University, a Masters in Strategic Studies from the Army War College, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
