Markus Hartung is a distinguished legal professional and academic with extensive experience in management and advisory roles within the legal sector. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Chevalier since January 2019, Markus also holds the position of Senior Fellow at the Bucerius Center on the Legal Profession and has been involved in research since April 2010. As the owner of The Law Firm Companion - Strategy and Law, Markus provides strategic and managerial advice to law firms. Markus has contributed to legal education as a visiting lecturer at Bucerius Executive Education since November 2008. Previously, Markus held significant roles including Lawyer at UNGER Rechtsanwaelte, Partner and German Managing Partner at Linklaters LLP, and Managing Partner at Oppenhoff & Rädler, where Markus led the firm through a significant merger with Linklaters.
