Azmat Shami is currently employed at BTA Design Services Inc. as a Staff ASIC Designer since May 2018. Prior to this, Azmat worked at Flex from January 2007 to May 2018, holding the titles of System Architect and ASIC/FPGA Architect. Azmat also has experience as a Senior ASIC Designer at Fidus Systems in 2007 and as an ASIC Designer at PMC Sierra from 2000 to 2007. Beginning Azmat's career, they worked as a Hardware Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent from 1995 to 2000. Azmat holds a MSc in Electronic System Engineering from The University of Salford, and a BEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from The University of Salford. They completed their secondary education at Alleyns School from 1982 to 1989.
