Steven Michaels has a strong background in technology leadership and innovation. Steven began their career at AmerisourceBergen Corp as a Sr. Director of Information Technology, where they worked from 2010 to 2016. After that, they joined Atrium Health as the AVP of Information and Analytics Services from 2017 to 2019. Following their time at Atrium Health, Steven moved on to Intermountain Health, where they held the role of VP Technology and Chief Technology Officer from 2019 to 2023. Currently, Steven is serving as the VP of Technology and Chief Technology Officer at Baylor Scott & White Health, where they are responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the organization's technology strategy and operations.
Steven Michaels has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Computer Information Systems from Campbell University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Steven also has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Phoenix, earned from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, Steven has an Executive Leadership Certification from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, obtained in 2009-2010. Steven has also pursued various certifications, including Customer Experience Certification from The George Washington University, Essential Google Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation from Coursera, and a Master Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University. Steven also holds an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
