Nathan Winn

Nathan Winn has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Nathan began their career at Rockingham Memorial Hospital as a Revenue Cycle Project Manager, where they played a significant role in several projects focused on improving scheduling, registration, and insurance verification processes.

After their stint at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Winn moved on to Bon Secours Health System, where they served as an Application Coordinator for ADT/Prelude/Stork. In this role, they were responsible for designing, building, and validating workflows related to admission, discharge, and transfer processes. Nathan also supported multiple Epic hospital implementations and upgrades and played a key role in implementing the Stork system.

Winn then joined Parkland Hospital as an Ambulatory Specialist, where they coordinated changes and requests for the women's health clinic. Nathan also served as a project lead for system upgrades, including analyst assignments, customer engagement, training, and implementation. Nathan later advanced to become an Ambulatory Team Lead, managing a team of 18 members and serving as the lead for a three-year corrective action plan with CMS. Additionally, they facilitated the Ambulatory User Group, organizing monthly meetings to coordinate changes and align goals and vision with clinical leaders.

Currently, Winn is Vice President of Information Technology at Baylor Scott & White Health. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Clinical Applications.

Nathan Winn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Brigham Young University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2007. Nathan also has a Master of Public Administration in Health Care Administration from James Madison University, which they earned from 2007 to 2009. In addition, they have obtained several certifications in various Epic modules, including Cadence - Outpatient Scheduling, EpicCare Ambulatory, Inpatient Procedure Orders, Optime, Prelude/ADT - Registration and Admission, Discharge, Transfer, Security, and Stork - Labor and Delivery.
