Mihalis Verykokakis has a background in studying transcriptional control of innate and adaptive lymphoid development, with a focus on E protein family of transcription factors and Id proteins. Mihalis has experience as a researcher at BSCR Alexander Fleming and previously held positions at the University of Chicago as a Research Associate (Assistant Professor) and Postdoc. Prior to that, Mihalis was a Graduate Student at the University of Crete, where Mihalis studied transcriptional control in response to RAS signaling during cell cycle progression and tumorigenesis.
