Ann Van Craen is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in environmental law and animal welfare. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel and Head of the Department of Inspection and Contaminated Soils at Bruxelles Environnement - Leefmilieu Brussel IBGE-BIM since April 2003, Ann manages a team of experts and oversees the integration of animal welfare matters into regional legislation. Prior to this role, Ann was a legal counsel in the same department, handling legal cases and providing advice on environmental legislation. Ann's legal career began at Van Olmen & Wynant and Demez & cts, focusing on labor law, social security law, criminal law, immigration law, and family law. Ann holds multiple law degrees from prestigious institutions, including Utrecht University, KU Leuven, and Université catholique de Louvain.
