Rut Steinsen is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as CEO and CFO at SimplyBook.me since May 2015, Rut also contributes as a member of the board of directors at Brunnur Ventures, a $65 million venture fund launched in 2021, focusing on investments in various companies. Previous experience includes serving as a credit manager at Municipality Credit Iceland from 2008 to 2014, and a manager in leveraged finance at Glitnir Bank from 2005 to 2008. Rut began the career as an analyst at KPMG Audit Iceland from 2002 to 2005. Academically, Rut holds a Master's Degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from SKEMA Business School, a Licenced Stock Broker certification from Reykjavik University, and a Cand.Oecon. degree in Business and Financial Accounting from Háskóli Íslands.
