Søren Kofoed Nielsen's work experience begins in 1973 as a laboratory technician trainee at Laboratoriet for Teknisk Hygiejne, DTH. Søren Kofoed later joins Brunata A/S in 1977, where they become the Head of Laboratory.

Søren Kofoed Nielsen attended Slagteriskolen i Roskilde from 1972 to 1973, where they studied laboratory technician. Later, from 1975 to 1976, they returned to the same institution to pursue a diploma in laboratory technician.
