Alyssia Coates, Ph.D., currently serves as the Senior Director of Development for Inclusive Philanthropic Engagement at Brown University, where responsibilities include overseeing the Advancement DEI strategic plan and collaborating with various campus partners to enhance engagement and philanthropy among alumni of color affinity groups. Prior roles at the University of Notre Dame included Director of Development, where Alyssia cultivated relationships with prospective donors and expanded recruitment efforts for underrepresented students, and Director of Pre-College Programs, focusing on increasing enrollment of diverse students. Additional experience includes a consultancy role at The Inclusion Firm and a position as a Recruiter at the GEM Consortium, where Alyssia worked to identify underrepresented students in engineering and science disciplines. Alyssia holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Andrews University and degrees in Educational Leadership and Student Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and Binghamton University, respectively.
