Sarah Higginbotham serves as a Nurse Practitioner at Brown Emergency Medicine, where responsibilities include providing emergency medical care since September 2022. Prior experience encompasses participation in the Emergency Medicine Physician Extender Development (EMPED) Program, urgent care at AFC Urgent Care, and registered nursing in the emergency department at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. Sarah began the medical career with roles as a clinical technician across various hospitals and as an EMT-I, progressing from team leader positions at Virginia Tech Rescue Squad. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Family Practice Nurse/Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercises from Virginia Tech.
