Nicolas Gurteen currently serves in the role of International Tax at Brown Advisory since May 2024. Prior to this, Nicolas worked at Amazon from May 2021 to May 2024, providing support for international expansion and risk management across the company's global media, entertainment, and devices and services sectors. Nicolas amassed extensive experience at KPMG UK as an International Tax Director and previously as a Tax Senior Manager in International Tax and Treasury from August 2007 to May 2021. A notable secondment to KPMG China occurred in 2012, focused on outbound mergers and acquisitions tax. Nicolas began professional career with a role as a Marketing Assistant at Unilever from 2004 to 2007, supporting business development efforts in emerging markets. Nicolas holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Warwick, obtained in 2007, and received foundational education at Bristol Cathedral School from 1996 to 2003.
