Ashley C. Sawyer, Esq. is an experienced legal professional and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Brooklyn Law School since August 2021, where Ashley C. teaches a seminar on Race and Educational Inequity. Previously, Ashley held the position of Senior Attorney at Advancement Project National Office from October 2021 to September 2024, and served as the Senior Director of Campaigns at Girls for Gender Equity, where Ashley C. built the policy advocacy and organizing team. Earlier roles include Staff Attorney at Youth Represent, providing legal representation to youth affected by the criminal legal system, and Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellow at Education Law Center, focusing on education policy for youth in juvenile justice facilities. Ashley's educational background includes a Juris Doctorate from The Howard University School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University, complemented by a minor in Women & Gender Studies.
