Julie Krumwiede is a dedicated Criminal Defense Attorney at Brooklyn Defender Services since September 2015, with prior experience as a Student Advocate/Intern at NYU Law's Juvenile Defender Clinic and the Legal Aid Society from August 2014 to May 2015. Julie served on the Board of Directors for the New York Abortion Access Fund and completed various internships and volunteer positions focused on supporting marginalized communities, including work with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and HIPS. Julie's earlier roles include serving as a Case Manager for the National Abortion Federation Hotline Fund, where counseling and advocacy were provided in both English and Spanish. Julie holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from New York University School of Law and a BA in English from The George Washington University.
