Jason Minnis has extensive experience in information technology and development. Jason started their career as a Programmer and Help Desk Support at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Programmer and Application Developer at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
In 2005, Jason joined the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) as an Application Developer and gradually took on various roles including Application Architect, Scrum Master, and IT Project Manager. Jason was responsible for maintaining and streamlining BAM's application architectures, implementing cloud architecture, and teaching Agile methodologies. Jason also managed database administration, implemented cost savings models, and led the transition to new payment services.
In 2018, Jason became the Associate Director of Information Technology at BAM, where they provided leadership and oversaw institutional-wide projects.
More recently, Jason has taken on the role of Director of Information Systems and Development at BAM. In this position, they serve as a department head, manages resources and budgets, and leads a team of direct reports. Jason also manages the release of new digital functionality and communicates with clients and external team members.

Jason Minnis completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems from Florida State University, attending from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, Jason Minnis earned the certification of Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in January 2011.
