Sarah Osborne has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Sarah most recently worked at The Brookings Institution, starting in 2020. Sarah held multiple positions within the Center for Universal Education, including Assistant Director, Center Manager, Project Manager and Sr. Research Analyst, and Senior Research Analyst. Prior to that, in 2020, they worked as a Monitoring And Evaluation Consultant at Laterite. In 2019, they were a Fellow at the Center for Asia Leadership Initiatives. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at RTI International, holding roles as a Project Management Specialist and Project Associate in the Education sector. Before that, they worked as an Early Childhood Teacher at Anuban Phayao Primary School in 2013, an Outdoor Educator at YMCA of the Rockies in 2013, and a Field Research Intern on Child Labor at the Foundation for Sustainable Development in 2010.
Sarah Osborne has a strong academic background in education, international studies, and political science. Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with distinction in Global Studies and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sarah also completed a Master of Education (Ed.M.) in International Education Policy at the prestigious Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Sarah's passion for international studies led their to engage in a semester-long Study Abroad program at the School for International Training. During this program, they focused on International Studies and Multilateral Diplomacy, further expanding their knowledge in these areas.
In addition to their formal education, Sarah has actively pursued additional certifications to enhance their skill set. Sarah obtained a certification in Design Thinking for the Greater Good: Innovation in the Social Sector from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2020. In 2017, they earned a certification in Advanced Project Management from RTI International. Sarah also holds a certification in USAID Rules and Regulations from Humentum (Inside NGO), which they obtained in 2015. Furthermore, they have a Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) certification from the American TESOL Institute, earned in 2013.
Sarah possesses diverse experiences and skills that make their well-equipped for positions in international education policy, global studies, and project management. Their participation in the NOLS Rocky Mountains Outdoor Leadership Program in 2009 showcases their commitment to personal growth and leadership development.
