Lars Peder Brekk has held prominent positions in both public service and the banking sector over an extensive career. Since January 2014, Lars Peder Brekk has served as ¶Ù¾±°ù±ð°ì³Ùø°ù at µþ°ùø²Ô²Ôø²â²õ³Ü²Ô»å°ù±ð²µ¾±²õ³Ù°ù±ð²Ô±ð. Prior to that, Lars Peder Brekk was the Parlamentarisk leder for Senterpartiet in the Stortinget from October 2005 to October 2013, serving as a Stortingsrepresentant and leading the Næringskomiteen while being a member of other important committees. Lars Peder Brekk also held ministerial roles, including Landbruks- og matminister in the Stoltenberg government from June 2008 to June 2012 and Fiskeriminister in the Bondevik government for a brief period in 2000. Earlier in their career, Lars Peder Brekk worked as Banksjef at SpareBank 1 SMN from 1987 to 1997, with a temporary leave to serve as mayor of Vikna kommune. Lars Peder Brekk holds a Cand.oecon degree in Sosialøkonomi from the University of Oslo, completed between 1977 and 1982.
