Emily Geddes is a Research Scientist 1 at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, contributing to the Hung lab and Center for Development of Therapeutics since July 2024. Previously, Emily served as a Senior Scientist at Microbiotix, Inc from April 2022 to July 2024 and was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 2016 to April 2022, gaining expertise in chemical biology, organic synthesis, microbiology, assay development, and molecular biology techniques under Prof. Paul Hergenrother. Additional roles include Chair of the East Central Illinois Local ACS Section in 2020 and various positions at Truman State University, including Stockroom Worker and Teaching Assistant in the chemistry department. Emily holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Chemistry from Truman State University.
