Shaila Varma possesses extensive experience in fundraising and marketing within the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the Head of Strategic Planning and Projects at British Red Cross since April 2013, having held various leadership roles such as Head of New Supporter Development and Head of Direct Marketing. Prior experience includes a role as Programme Support Officer at Disasters Emergency Committee, where Shaila contributed to emergency response program reports, and a position as Marketing Production Manager at Zipcar, overseeing project management and production of marketing materials. Earlier career highlights include roles at Streetcar and British Council, complemented by a BA in Spanish & Portuguese from King's College London.
