Adam Rowlands serves as the Director of Digital and Innovation at the British Red Cross since March 2018, leading a talented team to leverage digital strategies for supporting over 30,000 staff and volunteers in crisis situations both in the UK and internationally. Previously, Adam held the position of Director of Digital at Accenture Development Partnerships from July 2008 to February 2018, where leadership of the Digital and Innovation portfolio included a prominent project with Plan International. Adam's career also encompasses various roles within Accenture focusing on IT strategy and delivery, as well as a brief tenure as a Governance Advisor for the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative. Adam's early career included teaching English in China while participating in marketing initiatives. Academically, Adam holds a Master's degree in Chemistry with Mathematics from Durham University and a Master's degree in Environmental Management from SOAS University of London.
