Dave Hetherington is an accomplished technical manager and well engineering lead at the British Geological Survey, providing drilling expertise for the UKGEOS project since July 2020. With over a decade of experience as a senior drilling engineer at Moorhouse Drilling & Completions, Dave has led successful projects across various sectors, including oil and gas and geothermal energy. Prior roles include data engineer and unit manager at Baker Hughes, where Dave gained extensive experience in offshore and onshore well operations, and data engineer at Schlumberger Geoservices, which provided foundational knowledge of offshore operations. Dave holds a degree in Applied Geology with a focus on Petroleum Geology from the University of Sunderland.
