Sean Hutchinson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment management and systems development within the finance sector. Currently serving as Senior Manager for Direct Guarantees Products and formerly as Senior Investment Manager at the British Business Bank, Sean has overseen significant investment programs, including the £500m Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund and the £250m Midlands Engine Investment Fund. Prior experience includes roles as Systems, Information and Communications Manager at Finance Yorkshire and South Yorkshire Investment Fund, where Sean was responsible for fund performance management and analysis. Earlier positions include Business Development Manager at Medilink, focusing on the Medical Technology Sector, and Information Officer at The Regional Office of The University of Sheffield, facilitating collaboration between the university and regional businesses. Sean holds a BEng in Materials Engineering and a PhD in Materials Science from The University of Sheffield, as well as a Diploma in Company Direction from Leeds Beckett University.
