Sian Lerk Lau has a wealth of experience in software engineering and management. Sian Lerk began their career in 2006 as a Senior Lecturer/Director at the Centre for Foundation Studies (PJ Campus) at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, where they led a team of 60 staff and was responsible for the strategic action planning and implementation of the Centre. In 2013, they joined OnApp as an Engineering Manager, developing features for the CDN product primarily in Java and Python. In 2018, they moved to Jewel Paymentech as a Senior Software Developer, crafting solutions using Django, Celery, and Postgresql and guiding a team of UX/BE developers. In 2019, they became a Partner at ASLN Digital PLT and a Software Engineer/Technical Services Lead at BriteCore, where they took ownership of BriteNotes, a note-taking product for the cloud insurance software platform.

Sian Lerk Lau's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Lancaster University (2015-2017), an MSc in Pervasive Computing from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2004-2008), a BSc in Computer Science (Networking) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2001-2004), and Middle / High School from STAR (1994-2000). In 2021, Sian Lerk Lau obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
