Mark Read is an experienced professional in sports education and management, currently serving as the Head of Department for Sport and Public Services at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College since September 2007. Mark has held leadership roles at various football clubs, including Head of Education at both Bristol Rovers Football Club and Forest Green Rovers Football Club, as well as First Team Manager at Wells City FC, where Mark secured the Somerset FA Premier Cup. With a background in coaching at the University of Bristol and extensive experience in youth camps management through The Kings Foundation, Mark has continually developed expertise in educational practices, contributing significantly to departmental improvement and preparation for OFSTED assessments. Mark holds multiple degrees in Sports Studies and Education from institutions such as the University of Worcester and the University of the West of England.
