Bassem Hamdy is the CEO and co-founder of Briq, a software company that provides construction project management solutions. Prior to Briq, they were the EVP of Marketing and Enterprise Strategy at Procore Technologies, a leading provider of cloud-based construction management software. At Procore, Bassem was responsible for launching several new products and successfully transitioning the company from a traditional license/maintenance model to a SaaS model.
Before joining Procore, Bassem spent 16 years at CMiC, a software company that provides enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for the construction industry. During their time at CMiC, they served as the Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Solutions, where they were responsible for launching two new brands, including the award-winning CMiC Cloud (now Hikuu Cloud). Bassem also led the Business Process Reengineering, Product Management, Presales/Sales Engineering, and Marketing departments. Under their leadership, CMiC grew from a small startup to a global software leader with over 1,000 employees.

Bassem Hamdy completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from McMaster University. Bassem then completed a course in Blockchain for Business - An Introduction to Hyperledger Technologies from the Linux Foundation. Finally, they received a certification from the Linux Foundation in Blockchain for Business - An Introduction to Hyperledger Technologies.
