Shingi Mutasa

Founding Principal at Brilla Public Charter Schools

Shingi Mutasa is an experienced educational leader with a diverse background in teaching and administration. Currently serving as Founding Principal at Brilla Public Charter Schools since May 2018, Shingi previously held pivotal roles as a Founding Member at Heights Boys Charter and as Director of School Culture and History & Writing Teacher at MESA Charter HS. Early career experience includes teaching English at the Urban Assembly School for Criminal Justice and working as a Business Manager at Olam. Shingi's educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration and another Master’s degree in Education from Fordham University, an MBA from the University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UNT College of Engineering. Additionally, Shingi has completed a Professional Development in Business Administration program at GIBS Business School and holds a School Building Leader (SBL) certification from the NYC Department of Education.
