Bernhard Van Lengerich, PhD, is a prominent figure in the food technology sector with extensive experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as Founder and CEO of Seeding The Future Foundation, Bernhard also holds advisory and strategic roles at various organizations including S2G Ventures, Brightseed, and Tezza. Notably, Bernhard was a Board Member and Acting CTO at Beyond Meat, contributing to the launch of the first Beyond Burger. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Science Officer at General Mills and Vice President of Global Food R&D at Buhler. Academic credentials include a Dr.-Ing. in Food- and Biotechnology and a Dipl.-Ing. in Food Technology and Processing, both from Technische Universität Berlin. Bernhard remains actively involved in the Institute of Food Technologists as a past chair of Feeding Tomorrow.
