Daniel Rothenberg is a co-founder and head of Data and Weather at Brightband, focusing on making weather and climate predictable to aid humanity in adapting to extreme weather. Previously, Daniel served as a staff software engineer at Google, incorporating AI-powered weather forecasting into products, and as a technical lead at Waymo, developing solutions for weather-related challenges in autonomous vehicles. As Chief Scientist and director of meteorology at Tomorrow.io, Daniel led meteorological data science initiatives and team management. Daniel's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University, complemented by extensive research and leadership roles in various meteorological conferences and committees.
