Alexandre Merlen currently serves as Commandant d'unité adjoint at the Brigade de sapeurs-pompiers de Paris (BSPP) since June 2021. Previously, Alexandre held the position of Officier de liaison interallié at BSPP from September 2020 to February 2021, acting as a liaison officer between the French Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Ivorian Armed Forces. From March 2017 to July 2020, Alexandre worked as Lieutenant - officier adjoint, responsible for operations, training, forecasting, and prevention within the company. Alexandre's earlier experience includes serving as Chef d’équipe / opérateur radiotélégraphiste in the Armée de Terre from January 2008 to July 2014, with three deployments on external operations. Alexandre's academic background features multiple Master’s degrees in international strategy and public administration from prestigious institutions, along with specialized training in fire prevention and military engineering.
