Scarlate Masiye is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as the Director Legal & Compliance for Africa & Middle East at Bridgestone EMIA since August 2021, Scarlate also holds the position of Non Executive Board Member at Otraco Southern Africa (PTY) Ltd. From January 2014 to June 2021, Scarlate was the External Affairs Director and Legal Director for BAT in Southern Africa, overseeing legal strategy for multiple countries in the region. Prior roles include serving as Acting HR Director, Acting Head of Risk and Security, and Senior Counsel at The South African Breweries, as well as several legal positions at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc. Scarlate holds an Advanced Company Law degree from the Mandela Institute and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
