Helmine Botes is an experienced educator and professional in the fields of social work and health care. Currently serving as Programme Director and College Lecturer at Bridgend College since June 2021, Helmine provides support for the Social Work program. Previously, roles included Sessional Lecturer at Peeple and various teaching positions aimed at preparing students for GCSEs and A-levels at INFINITY TEACHING LTD. Helmine also contributed as a Lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University, focusing on Health and Social Care, and developed a Study Skills course. With experience at Cardiff and Vale College and Cardiff University, Helmine has a strong academic foundation, including a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a Master's in Child Studies. Earlier career history includes significant IT and care management positions at Fluor Corporation and Surrey County Council. Helmine holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Stellenbosch.
