Susan Ruud is an experienced professional in the brewing and mead making industry, currently serving as the President and Mead Maker at Prairie Rose Meadery, LLC since May 2015. In addition to this role, Susan has been a Judge at the Great American Beer Festival since October 2010 and has contributed to the Brewers Association as a member of the AHA Governing Committee since June 1999. With a long-standing attachment to North Dakota State University, Susan has worked as a Research Specialist since July 1990 and previously held the position of Assistant Exam Director for the BJCP from January 2006 to May 2014. Susan holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology from North Dakota State University, completed between 1979 and 1986.
