Marijn van Rooij currently serves as a Trainee in Sustainability & Innovation at Breinstein since January 2023, focusing on innovative practices and sustainability initiatives while pursuing further education. Marijn has previous experience as Project Leader and Project Employee for Energy Transition at Gemeente Heemskerk, leading operational subprojects and organizing community engagement events. Additionally, Marijn's background includes a brief internship at Africa Unite, where fundraising efforts were initiated to support educational opportunities for young girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and activities promoting social cohesion in the Western Cape. Marijn has also advocated for student interests as a Representative in the Faculty Council at Universiteit Maastricht and enhanced external relations as External Relations Manager with AIESEC. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Governance at the University of Amsterdam, educational credentials also include a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from University College Maastricht.
