Chris Purves is an engineering physicist with 15 years of experience in fiber-optic telecom equipment manufacturing and biophotonics product development. Currently serving as the CTO at Breathe BioMedical, they oversee product and technology development, having previously held the position of VP Engineering & Development at the same company, focusing on lung cancer diagnostic devices. Chris has also worked as a full stack developer at Patchell Brook Equity Analytics and held various leadership roles in other technology firms, enhancing their expertise in photonics, optics systems, and automation. They earned a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from the University of Alberta.
