Melissa Komadina has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2011. Melissa began their career as an Account Manager at Renegade, LLC, where they managed multichannel social media campaigns and promotions. In 2013, they worked as a Freelance Marketing Consultant/Manager at Nutrition Conditioning, conducting a 360-degree analysis of overall brand, online content, and competitors, and recommending new brand strategy and tactics. From 2014-2016, they held positions as a Social Marketing Specialist at Envision Healthcare Corporation, Copywriter at Microsoft Corporation (Vendor), and Copy Editor and Copywriter for freelance work. In 2017, they began their work at Spectrum as a UX Content Designer, UX Designer, and Product Designer. Melissa then worked as a Product Designer at Hangdog in 2019. In 2021, Melissa began working at CenturyLink as a Senior User Experience Designer, leading an end-to-end redesign of the customer account website. Currently, Melissa is a Product Designer at Brandfolder.

Melissa Komadina attended Boston College from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained their BA in Theirtory, International Studies, and Women's Studies. Melissa then spent a year abroad at the American College of Thessaloniki, studying European Theirtory and Modern Greek. In 2019, they attended General Assembly to pursue UX Design, but did not obtain a degree. In 2015, they obtained a Certified Personal Trainer certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
